I'm a retired LEO from Orlando, FL now residing in SW Missouri. Last week I received the Smart Carry Holster for my Sig P220 Compact. Yesterday I attended a firearms qualification course for retired law enforcement officers which was offered by the Missouri State University. This course meets the standards established by HR 218 pursuant to 18 U.SO.CO. 926C of the law Enforcement Officers Safety Act of 2004 which permits retired law enforcement to carry a concealed firearm provided you qualify annually. In attendance at this course were a number of retired law enforcement officers from various parts of the country but primarily from the Kansas City PD. Prior to qualification the topic of concealed carry was discussed. Of course, I had to bring up the attributes of the Smart Carry holster, since nobody in attendance was familiar with it. I must say, everyone was very impressed and I suspect you will be receiving a number of orders. I also showed his holster to a very prominent gun dealer in Ozark, Mo (Elephant and Castle) and suspect he will be contacting you if he has not already done so. He was also very impressed with the Smart Carry.
Your Smart Carry holster is everything you say it is and more. Very comfortable to wear and carry a Sig P220 Compact which is really not that compact (.45 ACP with 3.9 inch barrel) totally concealed with a spare magazine as well. Even though this holster was made for the Sig P220 compact, I did try my full size Sig P226 in it, and found I could carry it in comfort totally concealed as well. However to be on the safe side, and have the trigger guard completely covered by the holster, my next order will be for the larger Smart Carry so I can carry the larger gun as well.
Thanks for a great concealed carry holster.

place your order!Dear Charlie,
I've been a police officer for over 15 years and have spent hundreds, if not thousands of dollars on holsters of every style and design in an attempt to find the "holy grail" of concealment holsters. I ran across your website while trying to find yet another concealment rig that would be discreet and comfortable (two words that I've found to diametrically opposed to each other in regards to concealing a firearm) to use this summer while wearing shorts and summer shirts. I've always had more problems putting my ensemble together than my wife did anytime we went anywhere. Winter time was not too bad, you can always throw on a sweatshirt to cover up your holster. Summer time has always been down-right miserable: IWB holster, undershirt to keep the skin on my side from getting chewed to pieces from my pistol, some kind of shirt, un-tucked, over that to conceal the holster and then sweating like I was in the 7th inner circle of Hades.
I browsed through your entire website, read the reviews, examined the photos and even watched some videos on youtube. Initially, I thought there was no way concealing a firearm in this manner could be remotely comfortable, especially for a guy. However, I was desperate to find something that worked and with your 60 day money back guarantee, I figured I had nothing to lose. However, I fully expected to be returning the holster within a week of receiving it. I placed my order and WOW you folks are quick! I had the holster shipped to my parents business, a Police and EMS Supply store, and my Dad was very amused at my recent purchase. My family and I were going out to eat that night. As soon as I got home I slipped into the bedroom before my wife did and donned the Smart Carry with shorts and a TUCKED IN shirt. As we were getting ready to leave, my wife asked me, "Are you not carrying your gun?". She hates the fact that I always have my shirt un-tucked, and frankly so do I, so she noticed right away. I told her not only was I carrying my gun but I also was carrying a spare magazine. She was obviously curious as to how this was possible and I asked her to try and figure out where it was. She looked me up and down and couldn't figure it out. Once I told her, I had to show her to make her believe it.
As far as comfortability, this holster is absolutely the best I've ever worn. It takes a little getting used to and some trial and error to find the best manner in which to wear the Smart Carry but all this was worked out in a couple of days for me. Just a few days after receiving the holster I had to make about a two hour road trip and was wondering how the Smart Carry would perform while driving for an extended period of time and all I can say is that it was outstanding. The Smart Carry was far more comfortable than any IWB holster I've ever worn and much easier to access while seat-belted in. A extra benefit of the Smart Carry is it also keeps your shirt tucked in for you like a Hidden Tailor, only better and badder.
Even beyond the physical comfort and just as important, for me anyway, is the mental comfort of not having to worry about your shirt riding up and exposing the butt of your weapon, or printing when you bend over or squat down. If the Smart Carry gets exposed, I probably have more important things to worry about because the exposure will come from EMS personnel cutting my pants off in the back of an ambulance. The construction of the holster is beyond excellent. Kudos to your seamstresses!
I'm an administrator for our department and ride a desk most of the time and have tried carrying a back-up weapon in an ankle holster but it has never really been comfortable enough to do on a daily basis and invariably my pants leg gets hiked up and snagged on the holster. The Smart Carry eliminates all of this. I don't even notice that its there, and more importantly, no one else does either. I've raised more than a few eyebrows when "showing off" the Smart Carry to fellow officers. So far no one has been able to spot it and they are quite intrigued when I finally show it to them.
I carry a weapon any time and every time I leave the house without exception. I've been using the Smart Carry for almost a month now and I wish I would have had one 15 years ago. It would have saved me a ton of money and a lot of discomfort over the years plus I can wear a shirt tucked in again. This is the best concealment holster design, bar none. It's comfortable, secure and ultra-discreet.
Charlie, thank you for the Smart Carry! It's a wonderful, well thought out design. The Smart Carry has got me back to carrying a back-up weapon while at work, which every officer should be doing. You and the Smart Carry have done a great service for the Law Enforcement and Concealed Carry Community. I'm singing your praises to all that will listen and will continue to do so.
Gratefully,
M. B.I recently purchased one of your smartcarry holsters and am very pleased with it. I'm 5' 10" and about 180 lbs with an athletic build. I carry a glock 23 which is a fairly large weapon to conceal especially with my build. Needless to say no one has ever noticed that I'm carrying. Even my wife can't tell when im carrying, or not unless she asks. As far as being comfortable, I think I've put it to the test. I've drove for five hours with it on and almost forgot i was wearing it. Another day I was going hunting and was debating on wearing it because I was wearing bibs and couldnt wear my hip holster. Needless to say I wore the smartcarry holster and after walking about a mile and a half in the woods, standing on watch for three hours then walking back out the smartcarry was as comfortable as it was when I first put it on. I was concerned about it rubbing my legs with all that walking, but that never happened. I would strongly recommend this holster for anyone. As a matter of fact I'm buying one for a relative who is also in law enforcement and I'm sure he will love it. Thanks for making such a quality product that performs exactly like you say it will.
B. A. - Central N.Y.Charlie,
Received my Smartcarry holster very promptly after my order. It is beyond a doubt one of the best concealed carry options I have used. As a former police officer, I have tried ankle holsters, hi-ride holsters, Mexican carry, inside-the-waistband, and other holsters, none of which are real great when the weather's hot. I'm tall, and I like my shirt tucked in, and that complicates it further. I wore my Smartcarry with my Kahr CW40 all day on the 4th for various festivities and barely noticed it. (The Kahr will benefit from some "melting" of sharp edges around the ejection port on the slide though.) No more tugging at my shirt-tail to keep it down, no more wearing jeans so I can wear an ankle holster, no more conspicuous "fanny pack", no more settling for a sub-caliber "pocket gun" because the weather's hot, no more pinch and chafe from the "IWB" torture device. I also recently purchased a t-shirt holster, but it too has problems, hot and it tends to "print" unless I hunch over. Smartcarry is a good product, wish I had thought of it.
Thanks
D. H. - Prairie Village, KSI've thought about getting a smaller concealed firearm like I carried in the "old days" (Walther PPK/s, Beretta .25) but I like the full size weapons like my .45 and I like Ruger (carried them for 40+ years now). Hung up in the past, I guess, Charlie. Between the military and the police, I've seen too much, have too much experience.
I've looked at the Kimber, but for $1,000 I don't think so.
I had toyed with the idea of a white SmartCarry, but I don't think it'll go with dark slacks. Lemme know if you ever give consideration to an extended pouch (on the outside) to cover the side of a .45 safety and hammer (not the top).
Warmest regards to you, Charlie. I appreciate the fine design and workmanship.
Regards
J. E. G.Webmaster's note: These comments were in the comment field of an order we recenlty received from a risk management professional.
Charlie, I have heard some really fine comments about you, personally. My brother, Xxxxx Xxxxxx, from the Memphis, Tennessee area, recently purchased your product for his Glock 19.
He told me how much he enjoyed talking with you, and how personal you are, making him to feel good and confident about his purchase.
Background: Xxxxx is a former LEO. He, like trained others, are used to having the confidence of his weapon on his right hip. Last night, Xxxxx told me he initially had serious doubts about your product, but your phone conversation with him gave him the confidence to go ahead and make the purchase skeptically, if nothing else, just to try it out and send it back. Besides, what did hie have to lose?
Well, after a few short number of days, he began to get the "hang of it." He tried wearing during the day as he would travel to different job sites for new home construction, meeting with builders of million dollars homes. This involved being out in the middle of nowhere, away from civilization in the country, looking for a single lot with no house numbers or directions. Not knowing what he would encounter along the way, he wanted the confidence of having his concealed weapon within easy access while driving for him at all times.
Now that last part of the sentence is what he was worried about--"easy access while driving". That is what made him really skeptical when even remotely considering your product. Your phone call with him gave him the confidence that it was possible for this to work out for him.
Long story short, Xxxxx has been successfully carrying his Glock 19 on a daily basis. His wife, who also has her CHL, is always wondering whether he has it or not. Xxxxx gets a big kick out of that! He even wears it with shorts out in the yard with no trouble. Yes, your product has done everything you said it would, and more--the more part being the confidence of personal security at all times.
So here I am with the same questions and hesitation that he had, placing my order with you. Yes, I am a former LEO with a high level of training with my Glock for a large metropolitan police department. My comfort and confidence comes with my Glock on my hip. You being willing to take the time to talk with Xxxxx by phone and his success with your product is the reason I am here today.
It is not so much your product, but your personal interest and kindness that make people want to share their success with others, wanting them to meet and talk with someone as nice as you about their purchase. You provide that warmth and understanding before the sale that makes people feel good about your product.
A quick note about my order. I reviewed your site carefully about your product. I am used to carrying a fanny pack with other items, besides my Glock. Your second pouch product caught my eye--but at what additional thickness of it pushing my clothes out? Then I found the webpage of your NEW Security-V product. That looks like that might work better. My additional products will be thin, like money.
If the new Security V model is at least close to the thickness and comfort of your original product without sacrifice, then that is what I would like to order.
If you have a moment that we could talk briefly about the Security V and its construction and comfort, that would be great. Besides, I would like to just say hello to such a great guy.
Thanks for your time. I appreciate you taking the time to write back. Once again, I appreciate you taking the time to work with Xxxxx in such a kind way.
I hope you have a good Easter weekend!
Have a Blessed Day.

place your order!Charlie,
What an odd looking little holster that does a remarkable job! I received it just before leaving on vacation, so I had very little time to get used to it before hitting the road. I must admit that I was skeptical that it would be comfortable on a long drive, let alone really conceal my Glock 39 and extra magazine. It didn’t take long to realize that all of the claims that you make about this holster are true. After a couple of minor adjustments, it was comfortable for 9 hours behind the wheel and 9 days of packing around our vacation “hot spots”. I brought along my ankle rig and IWB holster, just in case, but I never used them!
The draw from this holster is faster than is possible from an ankle holster and I don’t have to worry about having a pant leg hike up and reveal my gun. This thing works!
Thanks for a great holster and even better customer service.
Sgt. D. R. - Xxxxxx County Sheriff’s Office, Oroville, CaliforniaCharlie,
Got my holster yesterday. Thanks. It is indeed everything your advertisement says it is. Comfortable....and it works. My G27 fits well; would think a 1911 or a full size anything else would be cumbersome, but for me this works great. A couple of other guys here in Civilian Police, International, will probably be on the phone soon.
Thanks,
J. S. - Leesburg, VAHi. Charlie: I have to say. Smart Carry is the most comfortable concealed holster I have ever used. My other inside the pants holsters were uncomfortable to my hip, moving, rubbing, and I was always checking that my belt was in its hook. I was always fidgeting with them.
Respectfully Yours,
P.S. If you happen to improve the holster, LET ME KNOW!!!!!
L. Z., LEO - Littleton, COGot the holster in the mail today Charlie. Tried it with my Kahr PM9. This thing is so slick and comfortable and I see it also works with my Airweight Smith and Wesson 642-1 revolver with laser. Neither the Kahr or the Smith print through my pants/shorts/ etc.
I was a deputy sheriff and later a detective in southern California and have been carrying concealed since I was 22. I am now 54 and retired. Still carry everyday. Never know when someone from your past wants to collect payback.
I have to say I wish this holster was around a long time ago. As you say in your ad, not too many people are in the habit of staring at other people's crotches. That includes cops too. Believe me. I never enjoyed having to "massage" someone elses "package" during a search, but you had to if you wanted to stay healthy in the areas I worked. Even a street wise cop mostly limits their visual scan of someone for firearms to the armpit, waistband, pockets and ankles. I don't see someone "frightening the horses" in the civilian world with this sweet holster.
I work for a small police department now as a civilian investigator and crime scene tech. Will let the officers check this holster out. Expect some more orders.
Way to go Charlie!T. C. - Rancho Cucamonga, CAI just finished trying it and it is the MOST comfortable concealed holster I've ever worn, PLUS my wife couldn't see it at all. Even she, who is not real 'holster' savy, said it was 'cool'...I was amazed that you almost can't feel it!
Many thanks!
Xxx

place your order!Dear Charlie,
I have been using a SmartCarry now for nearly a year with my G19 and 33 rounds of ammo. Your product is my concealment rig of choice when I am out with the family and expect to have kids and daring adults crawl over me. Most of the people I meet have no idea that I am carrying, which is testimony to the effectiveness of your holster's design. The holster has done everything it has promised to do, and is showing no sign of fatigue. Needless to say, I have holsters from other manufacturers for duty purposes, but the SmartCarry is the holster I value the most.

Hi Charlie,
I recd my holster last week and I like it. It is hot here in Texas and the Smart Carry solves the problem with carrying in shorts & a t-shirt.
The only thing I would change is for the "loop" side of the Velcro to be longer so that the remaining "hook" side doesn't catch on the rear waistband of my shorts.........

Xxxxxxxx County Sheriffs OfficeHi Charlie,
I’ve had my Smartcarry for a little less than a month now. Let me tell you, this is the greatest thing going. I can wear anything – I mean anything – from shorts to jeans to sweats and the only one who knows I’m carrying is me! Heck, sometimes, because it’s so comfortable, I have to check to be sure I’m carrying!
It took me no time at all to learn to draw quickly and smoothly and I can now completely forget the hassle of ever stressing out over what to wear that will allow me to carry discreetly. Sometimes I change from pants to my beat up, knock-around-the-house shorts and just leave it on. This thing is so comfortable and convenient that it’s absolutely no problem to wear from morning to night.
I want to thank you for your tremendous solution to summer carry! I’d recommend this product to anyone without hesitation and with great enthusiasm. I can’t tell you what a relief it is, knowing that your product has made one very big problem – comfortable and discreet summer (or anytime) carry a total non-issue.
I just can’t say enough good things about it!
Thanks again. God bless you and yours,
D. McL. - Seymore, TN
I don't know if this has been mentioned yet or not, but I found a new way to use the urinal and still have my weapon handy. When I face the urinal, instead of pushing the gun aside, I push it up so that the guns butt is sticking above my belt line. It is now positioned like an Inside the Waistband holstered weapon. And with the sides on the urinal "cubicles" it is not seen. Then when I am done, I reach in through the fly and pull the Smart Carry back into position. Being a former cop, I know what it's like to be attacked from behind when you are "busy" peeing. Its a very vulnerable position!
Just thought this might interest ya!

place your order!Charlie,
Sorry for the delay in reply. I've just been SO busy. No time to scratch the you know what's!
Just a quick email to let you know how impressed I am with my new Smartcarry. The thing is SO comfortable, I haven't even worn ANY of my other holsters since I got the SC!! Really! 10-14 hours carry is no problem with this thing! Nobody has the slighest idea that I am carrying.......besides, just who stands there staring at someones crotch??!!!! I will be posting an actual testimonial to your site in the very near future when things settle down here. I am a very happy camper though!
By the way, are you interested in selling to me as a wholesaler/distributor? I have students/customers that are most interested in these products and I could probably sell quite a few. After they see mine (when I show them), they are hooked. And as the SC are universal per barrel length, there is no traditional sizing issues per brand, only in the fitment per person.
Have a very happy new year! Thanks for your help to date.
Best regards,

Sig Arms Academy Certified Range MasterCharlie,
I just wanted to let you know that I received my SmartCarry Holster and have been wearing it for the last few days. Like the other reviews I've read on your site, I was thinking "it sounds too good to be true." Well, I have to tell you, it is the best and most comfortable concealed holster that I've ever carried. As a Beach Patrol Officer, I wear shorts with a tucked in shirt 99% of the time and have always had to carry small .22 caliber pocket guns off duty. The past few days I've worn jean shorts and a tucked in Polo shirt (SmartCarry equipped) and carried my SIG Sauer P232 w/ the extra magazine and experienced the most comfortable carry, and of course, a completely undetectable weapon. You really do forget that you even have it on sometimes. I want to thank you for making such a quality product and let you know that you have forever solved

Dear Folks:
I received my white medium SmartCarry holster for my Glock model 27 a couple months ago and I've been trying it out regularly since then. It is terrific!
As a 50+ female deputy district attorney in northern California who prosecutes major drug manufacturers and dealers, it is necessary for me to have a CCW permit and be armed on a daily basis. I spent lots of time and money trying to find a carry rig that would fit my body, lifestyle, and clothing. Your product is it!
I try to dress to conceal my tummy anyway, so the SmartCarry fits nearly all the clothes I wear to court. Sometimes there are bulges, but I just suck in and carry on and no one has ever commented on them. In fact, I feel very secure with my Glock nestled against my lower abdomen.
I can reach it easily in pants or under a skirt. It is only a minor inconvenience to sit with knees crossed and no problem using the bathroom. I hate the velcro itch, but keep the back strap covered with my underwear or shirt as you suggested and it rarely bothers me.
Today the temp was 95 degrees and I wasn't the least uncomfortable with the extra undergarment. I just have to be careful not to bump my tummy against a hard surface (like the sink or a counter or my desk) to avoid an audio giveaway.
No one but my close colleagues know how I carry. And because it really gives concealment, my SmartCarry works everywhere I go. Sitting is comfortable, as is driving and walking. I don't even notice it most times during my busy day. The only time I don't wear it is in Yoga class, but I probably could, and even do handstands!
Anyway, this is a long way of saying I love your product and tell everyone about it with whom I discuss concealed carry. I also love looking like a "normal" woman wearing it. Your product is the answer for women who want to carry their firearm every day, no matter how they dress.
Thanks so much,
K. H. - CACharlie,
Sorry for not getting back to you sooner. It went crazy here, 2 of our officers are on leave and one guy got sick, so we had to pull double shifts for a couple of days. Oh well .... :-)
I received the holster on the weekend, thanks a lot ! I played around with it for awhile and I think I can handle it pretty well. Only the Jetfire's barrel and trigger-guard fits inside the pocket, the handle is sticking out completely. Although my jeans are pretty tight around my belly, I can reach for the gun without a problem. I can even draw it while being seated in the patrol car. Works for me !! (you can quote me if you want) ;-).
Singer Sewing also made the 1911?? Wow, I'd love to have one of those pistols.... I can imagine that they are hard to find, even in the US.
The russians are selling a lot of "WW2 leftovers", as I call them. They were supplied as "war help" to the russkies in 43/44 but never used, since the russians didn't have the .45ACP ammo and were to stupid to produce it. Maybe I get one of them, they are about US$300 over here, never used, brand new in box.
Good to hear that you have some "pre-ban" clips for your pistol. Can't hurt to have a little "firepower".... :-)
The Mauser is really nice, and hard to find, even over here. My grandfather had the good old 08, since he was only a airforce guy.
Banning guns in definitely not a good idea. We can see the same movement over here. It's getting harder and harder for the law abiding citizen to obtain a firearm, but the criminals don't care about laws. They get their guns somewhere else and kill innocent people with them. I wouldn't mind more people owning guns here, that would create less work for us cops. We are 8500 officers in Munich and have to protect a population of 1.5 million people....
Although I'm in Germany, I'm still a NRA member.... :-)
Well, gotta run for now ! Thanks again ! Maybe I can come up with some order from the other officers. :-)
Take care, stay safe !

Webmaster note: We thought these comments from a German police officer would be of interest to all. His remarks on the 1911 and banning guns are from the e-mails he exchanged with Charlie when he placed his order. Charlie's dad brought a P-38 built by Mauser (BYF proof marks) back from WWII. M. M. joked in one e-mail, "You've got my grandfather's gun!"
Thank you for your swift reply. I will try to order again, and will use the phone if I have trouble.
I love the holster I got in Sept. It works much better that I thought it would. I'm ordering some for my Dad and brother for Christmas.
Again, thanks for your excellent service.

place your order!Dear Charlie,
Well, I told you that I would write with my "review" of the holster after I had worn it for a few days. I've got to say that this thing is the greatest thing since sliced bread. I must admit that I had found it hard to believe that the Smart Carry could really make it possible to conceal anything bigger than a pocket pistol (I originally ordered it to carry my Sigma .380), but after starting with the .380 and finding that to be totally comfortable and concealable, I am now carrying my Glock 27 in it most of the time and have even found that with loose jeans I could carry my Glock 22 duty weapon in it except for the fact that the medium holster that I ordered is not really sized for the full-size Glock. At any rate, you make a fine product and I would encourage anyone who is considering a Smart Carry to order one YESTERDAY! You won't be
Thanks again Charlie for making a great product! I'm going to wear it everyday while off duty (I have so far!) and when I wear it out someday I'll call you again!
Sincerely,
Sgt. M. E.I purchased a SmartCarry holster in West Palm Beach in 2001. The first day I wore it for 9 hours. No pain, and no adjusting. As a plain clothes and undercover deputy I have had every kind of "concealable" holster made. None do the job my SmartCarry does. The other holsters are all sitting in a box gathering dust.
Thanks for a great product.

Hello, I am Axxxxxx dxx Rxxxxxx, I have problems with my ordinary e-mail "xxxxxx@wanadoo.es" and I answer you for hotmail that is as only I can. Received shipment #4101. Today Tuesday morning, 14th august, the holster has just arrived me. I am very happy with the product and it has arrived under perfect conditions. I will already write him having him my experience my holster.
Thank you for everything, I send you a cordial greeting and a hug.

While the above is not exactly a testimonial for SmartCarry®, we've put it here because A. R. e-mailed us with some questions prior to placing his order using our website secure order form. In his first e-mail, he apologized for his poor English, as he's just learning the language. He's a police officer in Spain and to identify himself as an LEO, A. R. sent us a jpg graphic of himself in uniform. I printed it out and showed it to Carolyn and daughter Christy, and their first comment was, "Tell him if he's ever in the U.S. to stop by for a visit!" Through an error on our part, it was sent on Aug. 6 by first class mail instead of Global Priority (we refunded the difference to his cc) and arrived in only 8 days. A. R. will be carrying a S&W 5904 in his SmartCarryTM concealed carry holster. The 4104 he mentioned was the shipping invoice # for his order. Like it says somewhere on the website, we've shipped SmartCarry®'s all over the globe!
Mr. Parrott,
I am a Peace Officer with the California Department of Corrections. I recently purchased a Smart Carry for my Sig P220. I purchased my Sig from a buddy and thought it would be a good weapon to conceal off-duty. However, I found it seemed too big for concealment on my person. I reviewed many different styles of holster, but found nothing that I thought would keep my gun from looking obvious. I even considered that I might have to switch to a smaller handgun. Then, I found your web-site. I even read your customer reviews, which ultimately lead me to the purchase of your Smart Carry. I am very pleased with your holster and service. I am able to conceal my Sig without any problems and I don't have to change to a more compact weapon. In addition, I told a couple work buddies about the style of holster, but they seemed skeptical about the style and location. My advice to them was if they are looking for a holster that combines comfort with little or no sign of concealment this product is what you want to buy. I can't imagine using anything else. Thanks for innovation Mr. Parrott.Palmdale, Ca
Webmaster's note: Now I hope skeptics will understand why I carry a 48 oz. full size M1911A-1 all day, every day! : )Charlie,
Well, you were right.
I wore my thunderbelt for the first time last night with a Glock 21, 45 cal. and a spare 10 round mag.
Not only was it comfortable, the concealment even fooled my wife and she knows that I "always" wear a gun unless I'm in a bathing suit or naked.
She also liked the fact that my dress shirt was tucked in, as she hates me wearing my shirt "out" to hide my off duty gun.
So I guess you now have "two" satisfied customers.
I have also got a lot of laughs out of your statement, "A 9mm is a 45 set to stun."
Thanks
Officer P. C.
